Eye Hospital
Sundarban
A new vision, a new future... 10,000 surgeries per year
The project
Cataract, glaucoma... eye diseases that no longer trouble us much. However, in other parts of the world, it is often different. Cataract and glaucoma still lead to blindness and blindness, in turn, leads to unemployment, exclusion, and extreme poverty. With our eye hospital, we can change that.
The population in the islands of the Sundarbans is heavily affected by eye diseases due to challenging living conditions, inadequate and unbalanced nutrition, unhygienic situations, lack of clean water, and limited access to basic healthcare.
The "eye hospital" has received official recognition as a hospital. In addition to the central eye hospital, there are Vision Centers on various islands, totaling 7. People can visit these centers for check-ups and initial care.
