Community hall

SSDC is largely dependent on often changing sponsors. Currently, the financial existence and future of the eye hospital are relatively secure, partly due to various state and national-level recognitions.

However, many other projects, buildings, constructions, logistics materials, technical equipment, ambulances, and vehicles are still largely dependent on one-time, temporary, or almost permanent sponsors. This causes significant uncertainties in the medium and long term for everyone: the population, patients, staff, and management.

The only way to address this is by implementing income-generating projects at the level of the overall SSDC organization. Instead of starting many small projects, the possibility of one large project, a community hall, is being explored. Based on years of experience and extensive knowledge of the local environment, this would meet many local and regional needs.

The hall will be made available to the local and regional population, organizations, institutions, schools, and businesses for the organization of wedding and family celebrations, meetings and seminars, presentations and events, for youth, adults, seniors, and organizations.

On the SSDC campus, there are existing facilities and advantages, so certain investments do not need to be made from scratch: the land is owned by SSDC and located on the roadside. Various utilities such as electricity and water are readily available. Therefore, the project does not start from zero.

Based on years of collaboration with the management and staff of SSDC, and based on existing experience and knowledge regarding entrepreneurial capacities, preliminary studies and plans can be initiated to better assess the feasibility of this project.

SSDC is requesting an initial capital of €25,000.
